Parks
- With the largest sand swimming beach of any park in Georgia, John Tanner State Park offers all kinds of fun…for kids of all ages! An old-fashioned picnic is a great way to spend the day together. Kids love to take part in a paddle boat around the lake, or try their hands at fishing. There is a ¾ mile nature trail perfect for sharing the great outdoors with even the littlest ones!
- For older kids looking for a great skateboard park, East Carrollton Park has a street layout with benches, tables, stairs, rails…even a 6’ half pipe. The best part? It’s absolutely free! Located in the East Carrollton Park Complex at the Carrollton Parks & Recreation Department.
- McIntosh Reserve Park has 527 acres with more than 14 miles of trails for all levels of hiking and biking. The park holds events throughout the year such as the Easter Festival, Fall Festival, the Halloween Carnival and the Santa Program. Fishing, rafting, canoeing, and during the summer season there is a Spray and Splash water park open for kids for a small fee.
